Le Quang Duong, PhD
Vinmec Research Institute of Stem Cell and Gene Technology
Research scientist
Biography
Dr. Le Quang Duong received the B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2007. In 2012, he received MSc degree in Biotechnology-Pharmacology from University of Science and Technology and University of Lyon 1. Le earned an esteem STEM fellowship from Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) and completed doctoral training in 2018 from University of Texas at Arlington with a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Dr. Le started his interest in bioengineering in 2010 at Institute of Material Sciences where he conducted research in nanobiomaterials for anticancer treatments and wound healings. As a doctoral trainee, Dr. Le focused on regenerative medicine and tissue engineering where he developed scaffolds for vascular regeneration and wound healings. As postdoctoral researcher, he developed multiple particles such as porous particles and organoids for drug screening, and piezoelectric grafts for bone and heart tissue regeneration. At Vinmec Research institute of stem cells and gene technology, Dr. Le is applying stem cell and stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles as treatment for various diseases.
During the work, Dr. Le gave several lectures in Transdermal delivery, Polymers in controlled drug delivery and Drug modification. He has advised a number of thesis master students, senior designers and intern scholars.
Dr. Le has published one book chapter and has had additional one under-review book chapter in Stem cell applications. He has had 5 research articles as first and co-first author and 10 other publication as co-author on international journals.
