Biography

Dr. Dao Thi Mai Lan received her B.S. degree in Biology from Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam, in 2009, her M.S. degree in Molecular Medicine from Gachon University, Republic of Korea, in 2011, and her Ph.D. degree in Genomics and Bioinformatics from Aix-Marseille University, France, in 2016.
After completing her doctoral studies, she returned to Vietnam and has been working as a gene technology specialist at the Vinmec Research Institute of Stem Cell and Gene Technology (VRISG) since 2017.
Her research focuses on gene therapy for beta-thalassemia and other genetic disorders, CAR-T cell therapy for hematological cancers and autoimmune diseases, and stem cell–based therapies for age-related diseases and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Dao has authored and co-authored numerous publications in high-impact scientific journals and has served as a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Genetics. She is currently a member of the Scientific Research Board of VRISG and serves as Head of the Financial Board of the Vietnam Association of Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy (VARC).
