Biography

Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Loan holds a strong academic background in the biomedical and life sciences. She earned her B.E degree in Food Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2010. She expanded her knowledge into the specialized master’s course in public health methodology at UCLouvain, Belgium, in 2012. With a passion for research and innovation, she obtained a master’s degree in Biotechnology from Aix-Marseille University, France, in 2013. Continuing her academic journey, she defended her Ph.D thesis in 2022 in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mons, Belgium.

With around 15 years of experience in working in the laboratory and over 10 years teaching
in the University and Faculty of Biology including 2 years in VNU-University of Technology, HCM City, and 8 years in VNU-University of Science, Hanoi, she has accumulated extensive experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and many assays related to molecular and cell biology…

Her research interests are natural products extracted from medicinal plants on cancer cell lines and mouse models. She has conducted many studies on medicinal plants and their effects on various subjects, such as anti-cancer activity on cancer cell lines and their mechanisms through signaling pathways… She enjoys exploring cellular responses to external environmental factors. And up to the present, she is working with mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cords and researching their potential applications in preclinical and clinical research.

• Cytotoxicity and anticancer activity analysis
• Antibacterial activity, as well as using chromatography to identify the natural compounds.
• Mesenchymal stem cell culture from adipose tissue, umbilical cord tissue and mesenchymal stem cell differentiation…
• EVs application research in biomedical researchs

• Molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology,
• Flow cytometry
• Testing natural products
