Autologous BM-MSC therapy combining Psychological education treating Autism
Prof. Nguyen Thanh Liem
A randomized clinical trial in 54 children with autism spectrum disorder aged 3 to 7 years compared two intrathecal infusions of autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells given six months apart plus educational intervention with education alone. Over 12 months of follow up, the treatment was safe and resulted in reduced DSM 5 and CARS severity scores and improved CGI and VABS II outcomes.
